Department Mission:

Providing the labor market with scientifically and professionally qualified human cadres to keep pace with developments and innovations in the field of information security and cybersecurity, enhancing partnership with the community, and stimulating scientific research through modern academic programs, qualified teaching staff, and a pioneering educational environment using the latest means and technologies to meet the needs of the community and enhance national and international partnership.

Department Goals:

1- Qualifying human cadres equipped with scientific and professional knowledge and skills to keep pace with the continuous acceleration in the field of information security and cyber security.

2. Outstanding contribution to sustainable development in the service of the local or scientific community.

3. Developing students’ capabilities and encouraging them to innovate while adhering to the professional and ethical framework and communicating efficiently in a multidisciplinary environment.

4. Developing students’ skills in research, problem solving, teamwork and individual , and continuous self-learning.

5. Enhancing students’ ability to enroll in postgraduate studies in the field of cybersecurity and computing.

6. Supporting the community by developing solutions to protect computer and information networks from threats and hacks on both the internal and external levels with high efficiency.
