Enhancing cooperation between Al-Saeed University and German institutions and universities.

Through arrangement by the University President, Professor Sameh Al-Areeqi, that aims to strengthen international relations and creates partnerships between Al-Saeed University and German universities, a virtual meeting was held today via the Internet between the team of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, headed by the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Herwi, and the heads of departments in the college (cybersecurity Department, Information Technology Department, and Artificial Intelligence Department) with Dr. Sameeh Al-Areeqi, an expert in digital transformation at Masers International in Germany and a researcher at the German University of Potsdam.
The meeting focused on several important topics aimed at exploring the prospects for academic cooperation between Al-Saeed University and the German University of Potsdam. The development of academic programs to comply with the latest international standards was discussed, which contributes to improving the quality of education and meeting market needs. Ways of joint cooperation were also discussed in the fields of scientific research and exchange of academic experiences, in addition to developing joint study plans that include specification of academic programs and specialized courses in cooperation with German universities and Yemeni academics in Germany.
The meeting also discussed the addition of new specialized courses that support current specializations and enhance students’ skills, and establishing a specialized laboratory in cybersecurity to train students in the latest technologies and practices in this vital field. The possibility of attracting specialized experts and lecturers from German universities to provide lectures and workshops at Al-Saeed University was also discussed.
In his speech during the meeting, Professor Samih Al-Areeqi expressed his pride in cooperating with German institutions and universities through cooperation and coordination with Dr. Sameeh Taha Al-Areeqi, stressing that this meeting represents an important step towards achieving the university’s goals in developing academic programs and enhancing international partnerships, which contributes to raising the level of education and scientific research at Al Saeed university.
An introductory overview of Dr. Samih Al-Ariqi:
Dr. Sameeh Taha Al-Areeqi is a visiting researcher at the University of Potsdam and works as an expert in digital transformation and intelligent automation at Forvis Mazars, a global company. He has a strong academic background and extensive experience in software engineering. He received his PhD from the University of Potsdam in Germany, where his research focused on the distributed systems and automation in the software industry through service integration. During his doctoral study, he developed a proprietary model for configuring automated workflows using semantic annotations, one of the artificial intelligence technique. In addition, Dr. Al-Ariqi holds a master's degree in information systems from the University of Jordan, and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Zarqa University in Jordan
