Al-Saeed University carries out a workshop to specify the Master of Information Technology program in partnership with international universities

As part of its efforts to enhance the quality of higher education and keep pace with global technological developments, Al-Saeed University carried out today a workshop to specify the Master of Information Technology program at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, with the participation of an elite group of academic experts, specialists and researchers from local and international universities. The workshop hosted: Professor Dr. Sameeh Taha Al-Ariqi, a digital transformation expert at Mazer's company and a researcher at Potsdam University - Germany, and Professor Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Qabati from the Computer Department at the College of Applied Sciences - Taiz University, in addition to representatives of the business sector and leading technology institutions, Engineer Sami Radman, and Engineer Mahfouz Al-Khalidi, experts in information technology at Hayel Saeed Anam Group and Partners, and the researcher in networks and information technology, Engineer Ahmed Al-Shamiri.
The workshop was opened by Prof. Dr. Samih Al-Ariqi, President of the University, who stressed in his speech the role of universities in creating development and building broad partnerships with sectors of society and with local, regional and international universities to benefit from opportunities, experiences and technical and technological expertise that enhance the position of the university, its academic and research programs and its outputs in the context of sustainable development.
This workshop came as a strategic step within the university's vision to prepare master's programs in accordance with local, regional and international quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, and link their outputs to the needs and requirements of the labor market..
The workshop aimed to achieve several important goals, most notably:
- Aligning the outputs of the Master of Information Technology program with the requirements of the labor market.
- Benefiting from international academic expertise to learn about the best global practices in designing graduate programs.
- Strengthening the partnership between the university, international universities and the business sector to ensure that the program is suitable for the needs of the labor market and to increase employment opportunities for graduates of the program."
The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of faculty members and technology companies, and included dialogue sessions on:
- The latest technologies and trends in information technology.
- The knowledge, skills and specifications required for graduates of the Master's degree in information technology.
- Successful international experiences in designing graduate programs.
The workshop came out with important recommendations, including:
- Putting modern courses in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
- Strengthening the applied aspect through training opportunities.
- Opening areas of joint research with participating universities.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants expressed their appreciation to Al-Saeed University for its efforts in preparing and building its academic programs. They stressed the importance of cooperation between universities and technical institutions to provide distinguished education.
