Students of the Medical Laboratories Department at Al-Saeed University visit the National Center for Public Health Laboratories and the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research

Yesterday, Thursday, the College of Medical and Health Sciences at Al-Saeed University organized a field visit for third-level students in the Medical Laboratories Department to the National Center for Public Health Laboratories and the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research as part of a series of field visits organized by the university for its students with the aim of enhancing early practical experience and linking the theoretical aspect to practical reality.

The students were received by the center's officials, led by the head of the PCR unit, Dr. Ala Abdo Hassan, where the students toured the unit, as well as the blood bank department. During the visit, the students were briefed on the tests conducted on blood and the methods used in separating, preserving and storing the various blood components, in addition to visiting storage and preservation locations.

The students also listened to a detailed explanation from those in charge of the departments about the tasks performed by each department and the specialized devices used in diagnostic and analytical operations.

 The students were accompanied during the visit by Mr Akram Al-Ariqi and Ms Saba Al-Shamiri from the College of Medical and Health Sciences.

This visit comes within the framework of Al-Saeed University's efforts to provide integrated educational opportunities for its students and enhance their practical understanding of medical specialties, which contributes to preparing qualified medical cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market in the field of laboratories.
