Professor Sameh Abdel Jalil Al -Ariqi, President of Al -Saeed University received Eng. Fouad Fadel, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in Taiz Governorate in order to discuss organizing sports championships to enhance sportsmanship among Taiz students.

The visit of Eng. Fouad  aims to establish the chess championship and also football championship between universities in Taiz at Al -Saeed University stadium under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Office. It was agreed to make a detailed plan for the championships.

The  professor Al Ariqi stressed the importance of sport in the development of youth, noting that the university has the capabilities necessary to host championships. For his part, Engineer Fadel thanked Al -Ariqi, for the good reception and cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Raad Al -Selwi and officials from both sides. The meeting concluded with a tour to the university’s facilities
