The National Classification Committee for Yemeni Universities begins its work at Al-Saeed University

The National Classification Committee for Yemeni Universities has begun its work today at Al-Saeed University according to the timetable set for it, and according to the standards, tasks and procedures specified by the National Classification Tool for Yemeni Universities.

In this context, the committee reviewed the university's data and documents, audited and matched them, and verified the evidence and proofs for each of the four classification criteria, which are:

1) Quality of teaching and learning processes

2) Scientific research and publishing

3) Graduates

4) Community service

In addition, the committee collected data and information through a questionnaire answered by academic experts to evaluate the university's academic reputation, interviewed university students and surveyed their opinions to evaluate their satisfaction with the university and the quality of its educational and public services, and visited employers in companies and institutions and interviewed them to evaluate their satisfaction with Al Saeed university's graduates and their job reputation. The committee also inspected the university's library, laboratories, clinics, classrooms, university facilities and equipment.

 The University President, Prof. Dr. Sameh Al-Ariqi, expressed his happiness with the committee after it launched its work yesterday at Al-Saeed University, stressing the university's endeavor to provide the best services and practices in education, learning, scientific research and community service, according to the standards of quality assurance and academic accreditation in line with the university's strategic transformation plan. He also praised this qualitative and major achievement in the history of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to its other qualitative steps in development and strategic transformation led by His Excellency the Minister, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Wasabi. He stressed  commitment of the university towards the qualitative steps and plans undertaken by the ministry to develop the performance of Yemeni universities, higher education and scientific research in Yemen.
